This reef is an artificial reef that covers and area of 0.37 X 0.61 miles and consists of the USCG Cutter Blackthorn, the tug Sheridan and a steel barge put down between 1982 and 1999. This reef is considered West Central Florida’s best wreck dive. Grouper, snapper, amberjack and crevelle jack are often found here. Yellow buoy marks the reef. This reef is 22.6 miles at 254 degrees from Clearwater Pass and 25.7 miles at 285 degrees from Johns Pass. The water depths here are in the 80 foot range with a maximum relief of 15 feet off the bottom.
