Sand Key Reef

This reef is an artificial reef covering an area of 0.34 X 0.53 miles and consists of 1200 tons of concrete culverts and boxes put down between 2001 and 2004. This reef is 0.2 mile from the shore of Sand Key and 5.0 miles at 194 degrees from Clearwater Pass. The water depths here are in the 20 foot range with a maximum relief of 5 feet off the bottom.
