This is an artificial reef consisting of concrete bridge rubble lined up in rows and put down in the 1992. This site is directly south west of the old Sunshine Bridge approaches. The original two-lane bridge was completed in 1954. The main span of the northbound bridge was demolished in 1992 and the approaches for both old spans were made into the Skyway Fishing Pier State Park. The water depths here are in the 15 foot range and has a maximum relief of 6.3 feet off the bottom.
